A Mixed Bag Of Rain, Thunderstorms, And Chance Of Snow Loom In The Weather Forecast
Thursday, January 19, 2023
Forecast indications continue to point to a conditional, low potential for isolated severe thunderstorms late this afternoon into this evening.
The National Weather Service says some areas could experience some isolated damaging wind gusts and brief heavy rain.
Temperatures today will be quite varied, ranging from the middle 40s over southwest Lower Michigan and northwest Indiana to the middle 50s over east-central Indiana into northwest Ohio.
Forecasters say a sharp cold front sweeps through the area this evening into early tonight. Much colder air filters in behind the front with rain showers that could mix with snow on Friday.
Temperatures will not recover much at all on Friday. Highs will only reach the lower to middle 30s with a chance of light snow showers lingering.
