WASHINGTON - Indiana Republican U.S. Senator Todd Young appeared to extend an olive branch to Democrat and fellow Hoosier Pete Buttigieg ahead of his anticipated confirmation hearings.
Buttigieg is nominated to become Secretary of Transportation in the incoming administration of president-elect Joe Biden.
Senator Young tweeted Tuesday:
"Had a nice chat with Department of Transportation Secretary nominee @PeteButtigieg today," Senator Young stated in the tweet he was "Looking forward to working with him to maintain Indiana's status as the Crossroads of America and support critical Hoosier infrastructure projects."
