FAYETTE, OH — Firefighters from multiple departments were called to a barn fire in Fulton County Sunday afternoon.

Crews were called to a family farm residence on County Road N in rural Fayette at around 4:30 p.m. First fire units on the scene found flames shooting through the roof of the barn structure.

There were reportedly goats in the barn, but the family was able to get them out safely; however, a number of chickens died in the fire.

No people were injured during the incident. By 5:45 p.m. the barn had to be completely torn down as a result of the blaze.

A cause of the fire on Sunday has not yet been determined by investigators. According to Toledo WTOL Channel 11, area firefighters had to put out a large barn fire at the same property last year in October.
