FORT WAYNE, IN - There will be no more Honor Flights this year.

in a post on Facebook, Honor Flight Northeast Indiana stated the Honor Flight Network board of directors met and have decided to suspend the remainder of the 2020 flight season. Organizers say that while they are heartbroken they cannot take veterans to DC this year, they will begin preparing for a 2021 season.

Officials with the organization say Veterans/Guardians that were already booked for April/May of 2020 will be rescheduled for April/May 2021 respectfully. Emails, calls and letters are being sent to those veterans/guardians affected.

The HFNEI Board of directors said “our veterans are our most treasured assets”, and we’ll do everything we can to keep them safe.
