The Angola Parks and Recreation Department received a bit of Christmas early this week.

Officials say the new digital sign for the city’s parks department arrived this week. The new sign will be used for event information and announcements.

City park employees are excited as the arrival of the new sign puts them “a step closer to a project has been a long process”, but it’s “almost complete”.

The Angola Parks & Recreation is made up of four full time staff members, four seasonal maintenance positions and three Summer Recreation Program staff members. The department manages over 120 acres of parkland and 4.2 miles of trails within the City of Angola. In addition, they are responsible for a variety of programs and events each year.

You can follow Angola Parks & Recreation on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages to learn more about each event and stay connected.
