Incumbent Democrat, Richard Hickman will face Republican challenger Joe Hysong in the race for Angola Mayor this upcoming Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th.
With the election just days away, Hickman at one point over the last year or so said that he would not run again but then changed his mind and discussed exactly what led to that decision, in the likes of so many close to him were adamant that if he felt up to it then he should definitely do so.
Hickman also said that if he is elected once again, he has several new projects he would like to take on, including expanding downtown art and maybe even adding a splash pad for the area's youth.
Those wishing to take part in early voting, may do say still on Saturday at the Steuben County Courthouse from 8 A.M. until Noon, or wait until traditional Election Day on Tuesday from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M.
Hickman has served as Angola Mayor for the past 18 years.
