As the 2019 General Election is approaching on Tuesday, November 5th citizens around DeKalb County are invited to attend the public debates on Wednesday, October 30th at Kruze Plaza in Auburn as candidates will have their chance to speak their piece to the general public.
The event will be highlighted by the debate between the two candidates for the Auburn Mayoral race in the likes of Republican Mike Ley, and Democrat Sarah Payne as both look to claim the seat currently held by Norm Yoder, as Yoder announced he would not seek re-election after his current term serving 20 years in office.
The Garrett Mayoral race will also be up for citizens to hear points of view on as current Mayor, Democrat Todd Fiandt will square off with Republican challenger Larry Getts.
Other positions open in the county will also be showcased at the event which begins at 6 P.M. and is expected to last until about 8 P.M.
