Cause of September Factory Fire Unknown
Tuesday, October 1, 2019

The cause of the fire that erupted at MetalX in Delta, Ohio back on September 16th is still unknown by officials, and may very well never be known. However, investigators do not believe it involved any foul play.

Officials have determined that the origin of the blaze is accidental, but undetermined in nature. This ruling is due to the amount of damage and the volume of material firefighters had to move around the location in order to extinguish the blaze.

Approximately 9 million gallons of water were pumped onto the flames, however officials say no harmful chemicals were released into the air during the course of the fire.
