DAYTON, Ohio – Starter Noel Vela pitched seven scoreless innings to lead the Fort Wayne TinCaps to a win, 8-0, over the Dayton Dragons (Cincinnati Reds affiliate) on Sunday afternoon in Dayton.

Vela’s season-long appearance featured just four hits and one walk with a season-high 10 strikeouts. Fort Wayne’s win locked in a series win, two games to one.

The TinCaps have Monday off. Their next game will be on Tuesday, July 26, at Peoria. The first pitch will roll out at 7:35 PM.
