HILLSDALE, Mich. – A crash involving a tow truck and a passenger vehicle resulted in the death of one person on Monday, April 29.

The Hillsdale City Police Department said the crash occurred on West Carleton Road (M-99) and Industrial Drive on Hillsdale’s north side.

The driver of the car was killed in the crash, but their names has not been officially released by authorities.

Coldwater Towing and Recovery stated in a post online one of tow truck drivers and vehicles were involved in the accident.

The tow truck driver was released after being treated at a nearby hospital.

Reports out of Coldwater state the car was stopped on Industrial Road and entered Carleton Road where the crash took place.

Pictures from the crash scene showed significant damage to the front of the tow truck.

The Hillsdale Fire Department, the Michigan State Police and Reading Emergency Unit were among those assisting at the scene.
