(ANGOLA) - Pokagon State Park is offering two guided outdoor programs this weekend focused on winter wildlife and seasonal sights. A Wolf Moon hike is scheduled for Saturday, January 3, starting at 6:30 p.m. Participants will meet at the Nature Center for an easy one-mile hike that explores how human senses compare to those of animals active at night. Visitors are encouraged to bring a red-light flashlight, with a limited number available to borrow. On Sunday, January 4, a winter bird hike begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Potawatomi Inn main lobby. The easy walk will focus on identifying birds that remain in the area during winter. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, with a limited supply available. A full schedule of Pokagon State Park programs can be found at on.IN.gov/pokagon.
