(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana officials have announced a nearly 75-million-dollar public-private investment aimed at boosting literacy, STEM education, summer learning, and career preparation for students statewide. The plan includes 40 million dollars from Lilly Endowment and 35 million in state funding, making it one of the largest combined education investments in Indiana history. State leaders say the largest share will target literacy, including expanded K-5 reading support, middle school interventions, and additional teacher training. Funding will also expand Summer Learning Labs, support the Indiana Learns tutoring program, and study ways to strengthen STEM education and career advising. Education officials say the goal is to ensure students across Indiana have access to high-quality learning opportunities--no matter where they live.
