(COLDWATER) - Construction crews will begin a major reconstruction project on Morse Street in Coldwater Monday as part of a nearly $940,000 infrastructure improvement effort.
The Coldwater City Council previously awarded a $937,198 contract to Rieth-Riley Construction to rebuild Morse Street from U.S. 12 north to Smith Street.
The project includes complete roadway reconstruction, upgrades to underground utilities, new curbs and gutters, storm drainage improvements, reconstructed drive approaches and new sidewalks.
Motorists and residents should expect temporary detours, lane closures and travel delays throughout construction. City officials ask that drivers to use caution in and around the work zone.
