(INDIANA) - The Indiana Sheriffs' Association is preparing for its 46th annual Youth Leadership Camp, set for June 2026.

Two sessions are scheduled this year. The first will run June 15 through 17 at the Indiana FFA Leadership Camp in Trafalgar, serving southern Indiana. The second session will be held June 22 through 24 at Pine Creek Camp in Pine Village, serving northern Indiana.

The program is open to students currently in seventh or eighth grade who are interested in learning more about a career in law enforcement.

Organizers say the camp gives participants the opportunity to work directly with sheriff's deputies, who serve as counselors and instructors, while building connections with other students from across the state.

Students interested in attending can contact their local sheriff's office or school counselor for application information. In Steuben County, applications are available through the sheriff's office.

For more information, contact the Steuben County Sheriff's Office or the Indiana Sheriffs' Association program administrator.
