(ANGOLA) - Democratic candidate for Indiana Secretary of State Beau Bayh is scheduled to visit Angola next month.
Bayh will speak at a Steuben County Democratic Party gathering on April 16 at the Carnegie Public Library of Steuben County. Meet and Greet begins at 6 p.m., followed by the meeting at 6:30.
Bayh, a lawyer and Marine Corps captain, announced his campaign in October and has been actively fundraising and campaigning across the state.
He is seeking the Democratic nomination at the state convention in June, where he faces challenger Blythe Potter. The winner will advance to the general election to face Republican Secretary of State Diego Morales.
Bayh is part of a well-known Indiana political family, with his father Evan Bayh serving as governor and U.S. senator, and his grandfather Birch Bayh also serving in the U.S. Senate.
