(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana drivers will have five new ways to show their pride and support on the road in 2026. The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles has released five new Special Group Recognition license plates, expanding the program that allows Hoosiers to back organizations, colleges, and universities through their vehicle registration.

Special Group Recognition, or SGR, plates include an additional group fee that goes directly to the organization represented on the plate.

The new designs include three nonprofit organizations and two Purdue University campuses. They are the Indiana Fever Fund of the Pacers Foundation, which supports girls' and women's programs statewide; the Indiana State Teachers Association Foundation, which funds continuing education and training for public school educators; and Pollinator Partnership, which promotes the health of pollinators essential to food systems and ecosystems.

The two new university plates represent Purdue University Fort Wayne and Purdue University Northwest, highlighting Purdue's growing footprint across Indiana, including the state's second-largest city and the northwest region.

The plates are available for standard passenger vehicles, light trucks weighing 11,000 pounds or less, motorcycles, and recreational vehicles. Hoosiers can order the plates at a BMV branch, online at myBMV.com, or at a BMV Connect Kiosk. Additional fees apply.
