(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana State Fair Commission has announced Ray Allison as its next Executive Director.

Allison will succeed Cindy Hoye, who is set to retire in March 2026 after nearly 40 years of service. Hoye holds the longest tenure of any executive director in the Commission's history.

A nearly 30-year veteran of the Indiana State Fair, Allison currently serves as Chief Operating Officer. In that role, he oversees the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, along with event services, facility operations and maintenance, safety and security, food and beverage operations, livestock, and agricultural education.

Governor Mike Braun praised Allison's appointment, citing his experience, leadership, and long-standing commitment to the Fair. The governor also thanked Hoye for her transformative leadership and lasting impact on the state.

Allison said he is honored to be selected to lead what he called a treasured Indiana institution and looks forward to building on the Fair's long history while preparing it for the future.

Hoye announced her retirement earlier this fall. Allison will officially assume the role of Executive Director on March 31, 2026.

The Indiana State Fair Commission oversees the year-round operation of the Fairgrounds and the annual Indiana State Fair.
