(ORLAND) - This holiday season, giving back came in a big way from Miller Poultry.
The company announced it donated nearly 200,000 pounds of chicken to local and regional food pantries across Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan, helping families put meals on the table during one of the most critical times of the year.
What made the effort especially meaningful, company leaders say, was the hands-on involvement of Miller Poultry team members. Employees were on site to help unload trailers and to personally connect with the organizations and volunteers serving their communities.
Miller Poultry also credited its longtime community partners for making the annual donations possible, and thanked the many food pantries -- large and small -- working every day to fight hunger.
Company officials say the donations reflect both the spirit of the season and a year-round commitment to supporting neighbors in need.
