(ANGOLA) - Cameron Health is celebrating two major statewide honors after the Indiana Rural Health Association recognized the hospital for outstanding community partnership and exceptional patient and family care. Cameron received the Critical Access Hospital Community Partner Award, recognizing hospitals that go above and beyond in collaboration and outreach. The honor highlights Cameron's expanding partnership with Trine University through the Education & Innovation Center, where advanced classrooms, simulation labs, and hands-on training are helping address rural healthcare workforce shortages. The award also acknowledges Cameron's work with local schools, first responders, and community groups to strengthen long-term health and wellness across Steuben County.
The hospital also earned the Patient and Family Experience Award, celebrating excellence in communication, compassion, and patient-centered care. Cameron leaders say the recognition reflects the organization's continued efforts to improve how patients are heard, supported, and guided throughout their healthcare experience.
