(BUTLER) - One man was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash late Monday afternoon in DeKalb County.
Deputies say the collision happened around 4:10 p.m. at County Road 61 and County Road 40, when a Saturn Aura pulled into the intersection and directly into the path of a southbound Freightliner semi. The semi struck the car on the passenger side, causing heavy damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Saturn, 39-year-old Brandon Gemmill of Auburn, suffered head and chest injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The semi driver, 30-year-old Tyler Ebersole of Parma, Michigan, was not hurt. Butler Police, Butler Fire, Parkview EMS and DeKalb County Communications assisted at the scene.
