(ANGOLA) - A Trine University professor helped present updated best practices for health professions advisors and institutions during a national conference in New Orleans.

Angela Bojrab, director of Trine's pre-health professions and direct entry programs and a professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, took part in the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions conference June 24 through 27.

Bojrab serves on the association's board and is a member of its Professional Development and Leadership subcommittee.

She worked with Gregg Henderschiedt, pre-health coordinator for the University of Florida Honors Program, and Amber Charlebois, director of pre-health professions at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

The group was assigned to reimagine best practices in health professions advising from both the advisor and institutional perspectives.

The revisions were accepted and have been posted on the association's website.

Founded in 1974, the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions supports the professional development of health professions advisors in the United States and abroad.
