(EDON) - An Edon, Ohio woman is heading back to Coney Island for her fourth straight appearance in the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.
WFFT-TV reports Cherish Brown will represent northwest Ohio in the nationally televised July 4 contest.
Brown's highest official Coney Island total is 7.5 hot dogs and buns in ten minutes. She says she has been able to hit 15 in practice.
Brown found the talent after weight cuts as an MMA competitor. That led her to food challenges and contests before she entered her first Nathan's qualifier.
Now a regular in the annual contest, Brown says she wants to take some pressure off herself this year and just have fun in the unique environment.
No matter where she places, Brown says she is keeping things in perspective.
