(POKAGON STATE PARK) - Get your costumes, your coworkers, and your courage ready -- the Corporate Toboggan Speed Challenge is tomorrow night (Thursday, Dec. 4) at Pokagon State Park! Teams of four will rocket down the area's only refrigerated toboggan run, racing for speed, style, and the all-important bragging rights. And, yes, good costumes mean bonus points. Show up as disco dancers, superheroes, Vikings, bananas...anything goes as long as it flies down the ice.
The Angola Area Chamber of Commerce says this year's event will feel more like a winter tailgate party, with pizza, wings, and plenty of cheering from the sidelines. Teams get three runs, and the fastest sled snags the traveling trophy. There's also a prize for best costume -- so creativity counts.
It's all for fun and for a cause, raising money to support Chamber programs and services. Tailgating starts at 4:30 p.m. and the races kick off at 5. There's still time to register a team or sign on as a sponsor BY CLICKING HERE.
