(STEUBEN COUNTY) - Voters across Steuben County are casting ballots today in Indiana's 2026 Primary Election, with a slate of local, state, and federal races shaping what comes next for the region.

Polls are open 6 a.m. til 6 p.m. in Steuben County. Voters are selecting party nominees ahead of the November general election. Beyond local races, Steuben County voters are also weighing in on state and federal contests.

Redistricting Context Still Lingers

This year's primary is also unfolding after a failed effort by state lawmakers to redraw congressional district lines ahead of the election.

Because that proposal did not move forward, candidates are running under existing district boundaries, despite months of uncertainty that influenced campaign strategy and candidate decisions.

What Happens Next

Winners in today's primary will move on to the November general election, where final decisions will be made on who will hold office at the county, state, and federal levels.
