(ANGOLA) - The Angola Parks and Recreation and the Angola Tree Board will host their annual Adopt-A-Tree Festival this weekend.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Selman Timber Frame in Commons Park, off Circle Hill Cemetery Road.
The Arbor Day celebration will include a free tree giveaway, with attendees able to choose from several varieties, including tulip trees, white pine and swamp white oak.
Organizers say the event is free and open to the public. Activities for children are planned, along with an appearance by Smokey Bear.
