(ANGOLA) - Angola's Calvary Lane water tower project is entering its final stages as crews wrap up finishing touches on the city infrastructure upgrade.
The improvement project began last fall, and many residents first noticed the tower's fresh new paint color over the winter.
City officials now say the most visible final detail has been added, with the Angola Hornet hand-painted onto the tower over the past week as a nod to community pride.
The city says the project is nearing completion and credits the vision of retired Water Superintendent Tom Selman, along with collaboration from multiple city departments.
Drivers passing through the area can now see the newly painted Hornet displayed prominently on the tower.
