(ANGOLA) - Trine University's Christian Campus House has honored a longtime engineering professor with its annual Distinguished Faculty Award.
Stephen Carr, Ph.D., an associate professor in Trine's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, received the award during the group's 40th annual banquet on March 21.
The honor is voted on by members of the CCH senior class.
Carr has been with Trine since 2003 and has played a key role in developing the university's electrical power and machines courses.
He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Ulster and his doctorate from Queen's University, both in the United Kingdom.
Carr has also received two McKetta Excellence in Teaching awards during his time at Trine, including the John J. and Mary Gelet McKetta Excellence in Teaching Award in 2025 and the Steve and Mary Yacynch McKetta Excellence in Teaching Award in 2016.
Christian Campus House is a student ministry focused on supporting the spiritual life of students while recognizing faculty who contribute to the broader college experience.
