(SOUTH BEND) - The University of Notre Dame is making a major move to expand college affordability.
Starting in the 2026-27 school year, families earning under $150,000 will have full tuition covered through need-based financial aid.
Families earning under $200,000 will qualify for aid covering half of tuition.
The university says most students from families earning under $60,000 will receive full coverage for tuition, fees, housing, and meals.
School leaders say the changes are part of an effort to ensure cost is not a barrier to attending Notre Dame.
