FORT WAYNE -- A regional effort is underway to provide comfort and dignity to adults living in long-term care facilities across Northeast Indiana through the 2026 Pajama Drive organized by Doing The Good, part of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program.

The annual drive collects new pajamas and lounge-wear for residents who often have limited access to fresh clothing.

Organizers say even simple items can make a meaningful difference in daily life.

Donations will be distributed to partner organizations serving long-term care residents throughout the region. Community participation has helped the program grow each year.

New items with tags for men or women are requested, including pajamas, sweatpants, sweatshirts, nightgowns and other comfortable lounge wear.

Complete sets are appreciated but not required. Larger sizes -- especially 3X through 6X -- are in greatest demand, though all sizes are accepted.

"Larger sizes are often the hardest for us to source," Lewis said. "Those donations truly help meet one of the greatest needs we see each year."

Donations may be dropped off at multiple locations across the area:

Angola:

  • Angola Heritage Club, 1905 Wohlert St.
  • Angola YMCA, 500 E. Harcourt Road

Auburn:

  • Nugen Law, 221 Main St.
