(NOTTAWA TOWNSHIP) - A Sturgis-area man was killed Wednesday evening in a head-on crash on M-86 in St. Joseph County, authorities said.
Deputies from the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office responded around 6:20 p.m. to the area of M-86 and Findley Road for a reported injury crash.
Investigators say a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Thomas Lang was traveling westbound on M-86 and attempted to pass a semi-truck when it collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle.
Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures, but Lang died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
