(COLDWATER) - Clemens Family Corporation has announced a major leadership transition that will place a fifth-generation family member at the top of the company while its massive Coldwater expansion remains on track.
The changes take effect May 1, 2026. Brad Clemens will become chief executive officer of Clemens Family Corporation, while Chris Carey will assume the role of president of Clemens Food Group.
Current CEO Craig Edsill will retire April 30 but will continue to serve as chairman of the board.
The leadership transition comes as Clemens continues work on a $150 million expansion of its Coldwater pork processing facility. The project is expected to create about 400 new jobs and remains a central part of the company's long-term growth strategy.
Company officials say the expansion and leadership changes position Clemens for continued growth while maintaining its longstanding presence in Branch County.
