(ANGOLA) - Cameron Health marked the launch of a new nurse apprentice program with its inaugural signing ceremony, aimed at supporting nursing students as they enter their final semester and transition into professional nursing roles.

Hospital officials said the program is designed to prepare students for future registered nurse positions in select clinical areas while strengthening Cameron Health's nursing workforce.

The first participant in the program is Hannah Price, who signed a commitment to join the Medical-Surgical unit as a registered nurse following her graduation in May 2026. Price was joined at the ceremony by her mother, Cassy Price, who also works as a nurse at Cameron Health.

Hannah Price has worked as a patient care technician on the MedSurg unit throughout nursing school and will continue in the newly created nurse apprentice role until she passes her boards this spring and officially becomes a registered nurse.

Hospital leaders said the program reflects Cameron Health's commitment to investing in future healthcare professionals and supporting students as they move from education into full-time clinical practice.
