(FREMONT) - The Herald Republican reports a rural Fremont man is facing multiple felony drug charges after police say he sold methamphetamine from a camper parked along East Peachy Road.

Larry J. Callison, 67, listed as having no known address, was arrested Tuesday in the 6200 block of North County Road 125 East. He is charged with Level 4 felony dealing methamphetamine, along with additional felony counts for possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor marijuana possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records show the investigation began in November 2024, when Angola Police worked with a confidential informant to conduct controlled drug buys. Investigators followed the informant to Callison's camper near Swagger Drive and East Peachy Road on Fremont's southeast edge and monitored the transaction using the informant's cellphone. Police documented serial numbers on the buy money and later confirmed the substance purchased was methamphetamine.

A second controlled buy took place two days later at a different location along East Peachy Road, south of Gleason Ditch. Investigators again recorded the transaction and identified the same voices, according to the probable cause affidavit.

The following afternoon, police executed a search warrant on the camper. Officers forced entry after finding it padlocked and unoccupied. Inside, police reported finding methamphetamine crystals, drug paraphernalia, a scale with white residue, marijuana, and a glass pipe with burnt residue. A bag of mushrooms was also recovered.

If convicted on all charges, Callison faces a potential sentence of up to 20 years and six months in prison, along with fines totaling up to $10,000, according to court documents.
