(FORT WAYNE) - Parkview Health and Trine University will host a free online webinar next month for students interested in surgical technology careers.
The webinar will take place Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Microsoft Teams and will focus on the Parkview Academy of Surgical Technology, which is based at Trine University's Brooks College of Health Professions.
The program is designed to connect classroom training directly with the workplace, allowing students to learn while working in a clinical environment. Organizers say the academy also offers financial support opportunities to help offset education costs.
Libby Laker, assistant director of recruitment and student engagement at Trine, will discuss the university's surgical technology program. Zachary Goodwin, perioperative clinical nursing director for Parkview Health, will outline career support, resources, and job opportunities available through the academy.
The session will include a question-and-answer period for attendees.
Registration is available online at connect.trine.edu/register/ParkviewAcademyWebinar. For additional information, students may contact Laker at lakere@trine.edu
