(ANGOLA) - Pokagon State Park is inviting nature enthusiasts to take part in an upcoming Indiana Master Naturalist workshop, offered in partnership with the Steuben County Soil and Water Conservation Office. The program is designed to connect adult learners with natural resource professionals while encouraging volunteer service across Indiana.

The Indiana Master Naturalist program brings together participants interested in conservation, ecology, and environmental stewardship through structured education and hands-on learning. The 2026 Pokagon workshop will include 11 sessions beginning in March, with classes held about every two weeks. Most sessions are scheduled for Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Classes will take place at the Pokagon State Park Nature Center or at the Trine State Recreation Area. The cost to participate is $135 per person. Registration will remain open until the class is full or until Feb. 6, 2026, whichever comes first.

Organizers say the program is ideal for anyone interested in learning more about Indiana's natural resources and giving back through volunteer service. Questions about the workshop or the Indiana Master Naturalist program can be directed to Aimee Wentworth at Pokagon State Park by phone or email.

A full list of additional programs and events at Pokagon State Park is available through Pokagon's official website.
