Cubs 5, Washington 4 – Chicago mounted a 3-run comeback in the ninth inning to win 4-3 over the Nats. Tommy LaStella's two-run double was the game winner as the Cubs split the four game series.

White Sox 4, Yankees 3 – Melky Cabrera hauled in a long shot from Yankees rookie Aaron Judge then fooled the fans and the Yankees announcers into thinking it was a home run by acting coy about the catch.

Fort Wayne 7, South Bend 4 – The TinCaps swept a four-game series at Parkview Field for the first time this season. The 7-4 victory over the South Bend Cubs came in front of a crowd of 7,658 at Parkview Field marking the 11th sellout this season in Fort Wayne.
