BRONSON, MI – It’s a homecoming of sorts for Kristina Crabill.
During a special meeting Wednesday night, the Bronson Board of Education unanimously voted to hire Crabill to be the Jr/Sr High School Principal.
Following the meeting, Crabill spoke with Swick Broadcasting and says she recently retired and this was not something she was expecting to happen.
Crabill says interviewing for this position and getting hired is a God-thing, and she is were she is supposed be, and is looking forward to see what she can do.
Crabill graduated from Bronson High School in 1988, and her first teaching job was with the Bronson School District.
From there she went to the Sturgis School District where she served as a teacher, a literacy coach and was the Assistant Principal at the Middle School.
Crabill accepted a job with the Jonesville School District and was Principal at their 3rd through 5th grade building for the last four years.
Crabill says she’s already made connection with several of the administrative staff in the building, including Dean of Students Wes McCrea, who she says will be an integral part of the team.
Crabill has also hit it off well with Interim Superintendent Kate Wall and can’t wait to meet and work with the rest of the staff. She says she’s looking for a very good year
Crabill takes over for John Herbert, who announced in May that he would be stepping down as Principal at the end of the 2022-2023 school year to pursue opportunities in the ministry.
In other business, the Bronson Board of Education approved the hiring of Paige Judson as an Elementary Physical Education teacher.
