COLDWATER, MI - The Michigan State Police are conducting an investigation of misconduct by a police officer.
According to officials at the Coldwater Public Safety office, late Friday afternoon the Coldwater Police Department received a complaint alleging misconduct by a Coldwater Police Officer.
As part of department policy, the Michigan State Police was asked to conduct an investigation.
In a news release, officials say the department has placed the officer on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
The officer's name has not been released.
The Coldwater Public Safety Department says no further comment on this matter will be made at this time.
