On State Road 1 early Thursday Morning, a DeKalb Eastern Bus was at a stop picking up children en route to school within Eastside Community Schools when two vehicles rear ended the back of the bus.
A four-door sedan was trailing the bus to make sure the students got on board safe, when an SUV traveling at a higher than acceptable rate of speed ran into the back of the sedan then pushing it into the back of the bus.
Fortunately no children on-board the bus were injured, andthey were then placed on another bus to then head to school.
Conditions of those in the sedan and SUV are unknown at this time, as the accident remains under investigation.
