(St. Louis, MO) - The Trine Men's Volleyball team finished in 4th place after falling to the Fontbonne Griffins in the first round of the 2022 MCVL playoffs.

Sophomore Middle Hitter, Matt Stillman, was able to find success throughout the entire game with a .750 hitting percentage on 12 attempts.

Two time MCVL DPOY Hunter Haas posted 10 digs and an assist as well.

Also trying to keep the Thunder in the game was Sophomore Opposite, Nick Woolley. Woolley was able to bring the Thunder the lead from the service line on two separate occasions where Trine trailed by more than five. With 16 overall serves, Woolley posted an ace with only one error.

The Thunder couldn't get it done however, as they fell to the Griffins in three sets.

Under new head coach, William Dowdy, the Thunder were able to finish with a program record of 12 wins on the season.
