The Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect through tonight.

The National Weather Service says afternoon high temperatures will reach record or near record levels today in the mid 90s resulting in peak heat indices today in the 100 to 110 degree range.

Be sure to stay hydrated today and limit outdoor activity today.

Forecasters say a weak cold front will approach for tonight into Thursday bringing a low chance of showers and thunderstorms and some relief from the excessive heat. Severe weather is not expected.
