ANGOLA, IN - A long time board member of two Angola boards has been honored for his years of service.

Angola Mayor Richard Hickman and the Angola City Council honored Eugene Burd for his years of service on the Angola Board of Zoning Appeals and Angola Plan Commission.

Burd estimates attending over 480 meetings in his years of service. He served on the Board of Zoning Appeals from 2002 - 2021 and Plan Commission from 2001 - 2021.

Angola has many boards for city residents to serve on. Those interested in serving as positions become available should contact the city office.

As Burd will be replaced, the County Commissioners appointed an Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction(ETJ) representative.
