Southern Michigan Residents Named To State Boards And Committees

LANSING – Some Southern Michigan residents have been selected to service on some State boards and committees by Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

Brian Preston of Quincy and Carol Marz-Evans of Litchfield have both been reappointed to serve on the Michigan Dairy Market Program Committee. Preston is a member with Preston Dairy, LLC. Marz-Evans is the manager of Evans Dairy Farm. She is a member of the Michigan Shorthorn Breeders Association and the Hillsdale County Dairy Promotion Board. Both will represent the Michigan Milk Producers for terms that expire on December 31, 2023.

Madalene Day of Kalamazoo has been appointed to the Michigan Education Trust Board of Directors. She is a senior fellow in older youth services at Case Commons and a consultant with Maddy Day, LLC. Day is appointed to represent members with knowledge, skill and experience with the academic, business or financial field. Her term will expire on December 31, 2021. Scott Hassle of Decatur has been chosen to serve on the Asparagus Marketing Program Advisory Board. Hassle is a partner with BerryBrook Enterprises. He will represent Southern Michigan growers for a term that will expire November 13, 2023.
