FCCS Flames Face Tough Loss at Home

The Fountain City Christian School boys varsity basketball team suffered a disappointing loss at home against the visiting Horizon Science Academy Jaguars, 49-54. Holding a 35-27 lead going into the fourth quarter, the Jaguars scored 25 with a smothering full-court press and forcing multiple Flame turnovers to seal the win. Senior power forward Jersey McClendon (16 points) and sophomore point guard Terrell Kizer (14) led the way for the Jaguars, while Drew Franklin and Roman Sutton each collected 11 for the Flames, who drop to 6-15 on the season.

The Flames host their final home game of the season on Tuesday, February 13th with the first game starting at 5 PM and the varsity Senior Night to follow. Seniors Ethan Blank and Noah Johnson will be honored in pre-game festivities.
