STEUBEN COUNTY – Drivers can expect more lane restrictions and traffic directed by flaggers during daytime hours for another roadway maintenance project in Steuben County.

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that roadway maintenance and repair is planned for an area around I-69 and U.S. 20 beginning on Monday, August 27th, weather permitting.

INDOT contractors, E&B Paving, plan to begin performing roadway maintenance on I-69 between mile marker 354, which is near the Indiana Toll Road and the Michigan State Line. In additiontion, work will also be done on U.S. 20 between State Road 327 to State Road 127
During the day, drivers should watch for lane restrictions, stopped traffic and flaggers directing traffic through in the work zone. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any active construction zone.

The maintenance contract was awarded to E&B Paving for $536,000. Work on both locations is expected to be completed by early October.
