Only One Northeast Indiana County Sees Jobless Rate Dip in July

Elkhart County overtook LaGrange County in the unemployment sweepstakes during July as every other county in the area saw a slight increase.
After several months with the lowest unemployment rate in Indiana, LaGrange County slipped to a tie for fourth place while Elkhart, Dubois and Bartholomew Counties came in lowest at 2.6 percent.
LaGrange County went from 2.6 in June to 2.7 percent in July, the same as a year ago. The number of persons without jobs rose by 20 and the number working rose by 24.
Noble County went from 3.1 to 3.2 percent. Steuben County from 2.8 to 2.9 percent. DeKalb County was up from 3 percent to 3.2 percent.
