A case of Tuberculosis has been reported in Northwest Ohio.
Officials at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio in Williams County's town of Stryker say one inmate there has tuberculosis. That person was taken to a Toledo hospital for treatment.
Tuberculosis, nicknamed TB, was long considered to be a disease of the 1920’s, and is contagious. It is a bacterial lung infection spread when victims cough or sneeze.
Staff and inmates at the jail are being tested for TB, right now.
