An Angola woman is facing multiple charges, including theft, following a Tuesday night crash that left another woman injured.

According to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department, at around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Caitlyn Maynor, age 18 of Angola, failed to yield while traveling north on County Road 600 East. Reports indicate that when she attempted to turn onto Drake Road, she crossed into the path of a car driven by Lynn Rupley, age 62 of Corunna. Maynor struck Rupley'e vehicle, which caused heavy damage to both vehicles.

After being trapped in her vehicle, Rupley was transported to Parkview Noble, and treated for a broken arm.

Maynor was arrested for OWI after showing signs of impairment. Further review of her records indicated that she never received a driver’s license.

Officers at the scene noted a dog that was in Maynnor’s car. Authorities quickly discovered that the dog had been stolen from the Steuben County Humane Shelter. Police also say that Maynor alegedly stole the vehicle she was driving in.

Maynor is facing charges of OWI, Operator Never Licensed, Possession of Stolen Property, and Failure to Yield Right of Way.

The dog was taken to the Noble County Humane Shelter.

The investigation concerning Maynor's charges are a joint effort of Angola City Police Department and the Noble County Sheriff's Department.
