A woman was injured in an incident with a firecracker Saturday night.
Quincy Police Chief Jeremy Burch says his department was sent to a house on U.S. 12 just east of Quincy at 8 PM. Officers say the 80 year old woman lit a mortar style firecracker and tossed it into the air. Unfortunately it came down and hit her on the head.
Officers say the firework cut her head, but the bleeding had stopped by the time they arrived. Her eyebrows were also singed off. She was taken to Promedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
