Information was released Friday morning on what authorities are calling a "threat of terrorism" at one area school.

An 18-year-old student was arrested by Coldwater Police this week after he made threats of shooting people at Coldwater High School.

Reports indicate that Hunter Bromley was arrested by the Coldwater City Police early Wednesday afternoon.

According to authorities, students were alarmed at threats alledly made by Bromley and reported them to school staff. When he admitted to staff that he made the threats, they contacted police.

Bromley, who lives in Branch County’s Algansee Township, was booked at the Branch County Jail where he’s being held on a $250,000 cash bond. He was arraigned Thursday in Branch County District Court on a charge of false report or threat of terrorism. He’s due back in District Court for a probable cause hearing February 8, 2018.

Coldwater Public Safety Officials say that they take "these types of incidents very seriously".
